BLAG release new edition Vol.3 Nø 2 with world exclusive covers: Julian Casablancas and Miike Snow in February 2010

Edition Theme: Passion & Patience

London based Sally A. Edwards and Sarah J. Edwards will release their latest edition of BLAG in February 2010. Themed Passion & Patience, the edition sees more world exclusive shoots and interviews with music, film and art talent.

In a 20 page portfolio, front cover star Julian Casablancas was shot by Sarah J. Edwards using a film-style spot light. In the story styled by Julian, Sally and Sarah he wears a mix of his own wardrobe along with pieces by Vivienne Westwood and Bottega Veneta. Interviewed by Sally A. Edwards Julian discusses many things including, how he came to do his solo project, his own passion and patience, his love of the writing process and film.
Shot on location at the pre-fit of Giorgio Armani's new flagship store at Spinningfields in Manchester.

Miike Snow feature on the other cover. Shot on location at The Hempel Hotel. Styled in Alexander McQueen, Burberry Prorsum and McQ, Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg are also seen in a long-form portfolio.
In a hilarious interview, the band discuss travel, hauntings, food, anonymity and they also take on the BLAG card game. Photography and interview by Sarah J. Edwards.

Our cover star's new video

BLAG Vol.3 Nø2 | Julian Casablancas Cover

Last week we went to Manchester to shoot and interview Julian Casablancas for our next cover. Here’s some behind-the-scenes shots. We were on location at the brand new - not even fitted yet - Emporio Armani flagship store in Spinningfields on the third floor. It felt like something from a Japanese horror film, there were no light switches, just sensors that lit up the room ahead of where you walked. Not somewhere you’d want to be alone.
We got some great shots of Julian, lots of outfit changes and we talked about many things from his solo album, film soundtracks, live shows and more. He was great to work with, styling was a team effort shared between the three of us - a great experience. We’ll post more news soon including a video.
In the meantime Julian’s Christmas single, ‘I wish it was Christmas Today’ is out on December 21st.
